The British Red Cross is re-shaping and growing fundraising from major donors and trusts & foundations at a time when our work with people in crisis has never been more relevant or needed. From the Covid crisis in the UK to war in Ukraine, we work in partnership with major philanthropists to respond during a crisis.

What you’ll be doing

Both roles will play key roles in delivering ambitious and bold change and growth that is rooted in the increasing need for our services.

Our Head of Philanthropy – Major Giving role will lead the team working with our closest, core philanthropy relationships (across both major donors and t&f and focused on supporters giving less than £1m). This team will have a strong innovation focus exploring new audiences and products such as next generation philanthropy and diaspora philanthropy.

The Head of Philanthropy – Transformational Growth will lead the team working with our most significant and complex philanthropy supporters (across both major donors and t&f, and focused on supporters giving more than £1m). This team will work with existing supporters but there will be a strong focus on new business and growth.
