Head of People Services

To develop and deliver the People Services strategy across all colleagues working alongside our other People ‘Heads of’ and HRBP community to ensure that we efficiently onboard new talent, manage HR queries, process accurate payroll and pay on time.

You Will Be Accountable For

To partner with the Chief People Officer and the senior People team

Lead and develop the People Services team so they become internal-customer focused and deliver an efficient BAU service whilst delivering People Lever and Transformation changes

To design and deliver a People Services strategy and plan which is aligned to our overall business strategy

Shape the strategy for business-critical initiatives such as internal service provided via the People Shared Service team and the people tech roadmap

Contribute to the overall People Plan

Champion the effort to improve the efficiency of People Services through enhanced automation and digitisation

Keep current with industry trends and leverage vendors appropriately to ensure all HR operations are keeping pace with the market and external benchmarks

Lead the People Services team to achieve strategic, compliance and operational objectives in the areas of Shared Service, Payroll, HR Systems and HRMI

To be successful in this role you will require the following…

Qualifications

CIPD or equivalent experience

Business degree

Knowledge & Experience

5 years’ experience of operating in HR at a Head of or equivalent level

Must have significant experience of HR shared service activities including UK payroll and legislative compliance (including GDPR)

Demonstrable experience in designing and leading People Services change programmes, including designing of new operating models

Ability to deliver both BAU and transformational activities in parallel

Proven track record of managing, leading and developing a People Services team

Technical & People Skills

A strong HR background with a focus on process improvement and delivery

Leadership experience with People Services

Ability to influence at all levels

Strong knowledge of UK Payroll

Strong focus on designing metrics

Impact & Influence

Consultative approach in identifying and understanding areas for improvement

Experience of leading a fast-paced team

Experience of managing internal relationships at the most senior levels

Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills
