Your Tasks
We are currently looking for Head of Indirect Procurement who would like to join our talent pool for future projects.
- Lead and coach a team of Category Managers in the development and implementation of category strategies i.e. building clear and compelling category plans and selecting the right buying channel to balance cost, quality and risk through market research, supply base analysis, and internal requirement baselining
- Advocat typical Category activities such as performing supply market research in specific areas to ensure that Corden is making best use of new developments and is aware of new potential suppliers, and maintain a Preferred Supplier List (PSL) for the category
- Stakeholder management to strengthen and promote category and supplier strategies
- Leveraging teams and their capabilities outside of Procurement to support analytics and the effective development of the category plans
- Support execution of category plans, in coordination with buyers and wider stakeholders across sites and within Global Procurement, using a strategic sourcing methodology to deliver best commercial and operational outcomes including cost and working capital improvement
- Evaluate new suppliers in line with Corden policy and procedures, assess the performance of existing suppliers and specify development initiatives to ensure key suppliers perform to the requirements of Corden
- Manage relationship with internal business teams to ensure that the strategy reflects their ability to fulfil their internal requirements, and manage and/or challenge demand where applicable
- Inform and advise customers (internal and external) on good purchasing practice to assist them in carrying out their buying responsibilities
- Lead and coach junior members of the team on strategic sourcing practices, as well as category management and execution responsibilities
Your Profile
- BS degree in Science, Engineering or Business Administration
- Ability to lead cross-functional and global team
- Commercial strategic sourcing experience (ideally with a multi-national, Fortune 500 business) including demonstrated proficiency in contract negotiations, supplier development, and global sourcing
- Professional Purchasing Qualification
- Strong external and internal communication skills
- Influencing, negotiation and project management skills
- Excellent knowledge of SAP
- Excellent computer-based skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong proficiency in Business English
