Overview of position:

  • CTG is advertising this TOR on behlf of Hart our sister company (part of the Chelsea Group – https://chelseagroupworldwide.com/). Candidates applying for the role must have relevant experience matching the below TOR.

Role objectives:

  • Primary role is to strategically partner the business units by providing support in performance management, employee relations, recruitment & selection, succession planning & the end to end life cycle of an employee. To administer & manage the overseas Security Managers & Intelligence Analysts contract Hart has with the FCDO.
  • This includes managing the day to day operations around recruitment, human resources, client & contractor interaction & all travel arrangements. It also entails the financial management of the contract which includes invoicing & budget management.
  • The role holder will also act as the nominated contract representative to the FCDO taking responsibility for all aspects of contract management for the client(s) including quality assurance.
  • The jobholder will represent Hart in the UK as & when required by management which include attending meetings & events & supporting Hart’s parent & sister companies. Must be within an hour & half from London, as there will be traveling into London required from time to time. (Highly desirable to be within 2 hours from London).

Project reporting:

  • This role reports to the line manager.

Experience & knowledge:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a HR role.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a senior HR role with previous management experience of subordinates to drive consistent HR support in an international diverse context.
  • British national & UK based.
  • Clear criminal record.
  • Experience & understanding of risk management industry.
  • Experience of working in austere & challenging environments.
  • Previous experience with performance management cycles, including reviews, 360 degree feedback, disciplinary matters.
  • Understanding of local laws of the countries Hart operates in.
  • Previous experience with the end to end recruitment & selection of employees & contractors.

Job specific technical / functional / professional competencies:

  • Formal qualification in Human Resources / Administration at Degree level or equivalent with relevant experience support.
  • Project Management / PRINCE 2 qualification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of working with a UK govt. organisation.
  • Leadership, analytical, decisive but consultative, capable of innovative thinking & managing change.
  • Commercially astute with sufficient understanding of budgets, linking the strategic direction of human resources & manning budgets.
  • First class oral & written English communication skills, development & ongoing review of policies that reflect the business operations to achieve compliance & consistency.
  • Capable of negotiating effectively.
  • Strong organizational & administrative skills.
  • End to end cycle of recruitment & selection activities aimed at attracting a high standard of candidate to build company strength.
  • Ability to travel to Hart operational environments.

Team management:

  • Team management experience is desired for this role.
