Tasks
Lead the success of our software development projects by guiding a team of skilled developers. Ensure they have the support and resources needed to excel, while also managing stakeholder relationships effectively.
- Lead a team of onsite and nearshore software engineers
- Be responsible for architecture and security for your solution portfolio
- Develop the skills of your team to keep pace with marked needs
- Create and maintain a productive work collaboration between different geographical locations and cross-functional teams
- Develop tools and processes to improve software engineering productivity and quality.
- Own the technical relationships with vendors and partners
- Communicate project/program progress within stakeholders
- Recruitment and on-boarding of new talents
- Partner with application management teams to implement DevSecOps
- Implement software quality measures
- Be present in the different locations and interact with stakeholders and counterparts along the Lufthansa Group

Requirements
With your solid technical background and developer experience, you have successfully led software development initiatives for large organizations. Your expertise and leadership skills are key to driving our projects to success.
- Solid IT education and deep understanding of current technologies
- Excellent communication and cooperation skills, adept at liaising with internal and external partners
- Strong team player, flexible, proactive and resilient under pressure
- Proven experience in leading and mentoring teams
- Proficient in agile methodologies, DevSecOps practices and cloud computing environments
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, able to foresee and navigate technological challenges
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
- Commitment to continuous learning and development, keeping up to date with industry trends
- Experience in fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture, promoting diversity and professional growth
- Fluent in English, written and spoken
