Head of Business Management, Infrastructure

As a result of important growth and success, Schroders Capital Infrastructure is hiring a Head of Infrastructure Business Management to join the leadership team.

The main remit of this exciting position is to oversee the platform’s development, the corporate functions and the ongoing operations. The position is ideal for a talented individual with previous, relevant experience within the investment sector, who is looking for a strategic leadership role with a broad remit.

The base

We moved into our new HQ in the City of London in 2018. We’re close to our clients, in the heart of the UK’s financial centre. And we have everything we need to work flexibly.

What you’ll do

• Direct support to the Global Head & CEO and working alongside her to support and sustain further business growth; Support and Lead different initiatives that will drive the strategic growth plan
• Leadership and oversight of the platform, including operations, processes and business development to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity
• Overseeing cross-functional organization-wide projects or initiatives; bring together multiple stakeholders and help drive decisions
• Reviewing existing operations and finding areas for development and growth
• Leading the establishment of the business management capability; creating & updating dashboards for KPI
• Act as point person to key corporate centre functions: operations, IT, finance, compliance, HR, risk, Sustainability & Impact ; overseeing the platform’s daily operations
• Support the Global Head Infrastructure in her leadership role as Schroders AIDA CEO
• Participating and implementing Change IT management project

The Knowledge, Experience And Qualifications You Need

• Excellent understanding of the infrastructure operational set up and different operating models
• Good understanding of the regulatory environment and broad understanding of the wider asset management industry
• Experienced manager of a team with clear leadership and strategic thinking
• Ability to demonstrate leadership and pro activity in a fast paced environment
• Experience in governance, control and risk management processes.
• Strong management and interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise important tasks over others
• Detailed understanding of financial statements and accounting standards
• Must be fluent in English and French
• Relevant experience in a business management role or with a track record of team management in operations
• Experience in performing tasks such as planning and leading strategic activities, budget preparation, budget management, data analysis and project coordination
• Educational requirement: business school degree or university degree in Finance or Law (or equivalent degree)
