Propósito

O(A) Chefe de Gestão de Doações fornecerá liderança estratégica e operacional para a equipa de Doações. Ele/ela será responsável por fornecer gerir de as doações de forma eficiente e eficaz. O titular da função desempenhará um papel fundamental no desenvolvimento de uma cultura que garantirá a entrega de projectos de alta qualidade, no prazo, dentro do orçamento e com qualidade. Ele/ela supervisionará todas as actividades de gestão de doações tanto no Escritório Nacional quanto em toda a rede global da Save the Children, bem como externamente com os doadores.

Qualificações

  • Pós-graduação em Gestão Financeira, Gestão de Bolsas ou equivalente.

Experiência e Habilidades

  • Mínimo de 6 anos de experiência na gestão de Doações/projectos com ONGs, incluindo experiência comprovada de estabelecimento e execução da função de gestão de Doações em um Escritório do país;
  • Mínimo de 2-3 anos de experiência em cargos de gestão sênior;
  • Conhecimento sólido dos requisitos e perspectiva estratégicas dos principais doadores institucionais, incluindo orçamento, questões de elegibilidade, gestão de conformidade e relatórios, notadamente USAID/BHA, UE (DEVCO e ECHO), GAC, FCDO, SIDA, NORAD, UNICEF e outras agências da ONU ;
  • Experiência de Programas do Título II;
  • Histórico comprovado de contribuição ativa para uma equipa de gestão sênior e suporte estratégico em vários sectores e/ou regiões;
  • Forte atenção aos detalhes e análise de informações e tendências financeiras.;
  • Habilidades pró-activas e de resolução de problemas;
  • Capacidade de apresentar informações complexas de maneira sucinta, compreensível e convincente;
  • Capacidade analítica orientada para a acção;
  • Experiência demonstrada na criação e manutenção de sistemas de garantia de qualidade/conformidade Excelente capacidade de planeamento, gestão e coordenação, com capacidade para organizar uma carga de trabalho exigente composta por tarefas e responsabilidades diversas e desafiantes; Experiência e habilidades bem desenvolvidas em gestão de pessoal, desenvolvimento e mentoria, bem como supervisão e supervisão com pessoas de diversas origens e culturas. Fortes habilidades de mentoria e capacitação comprovadas;
  • Forte experiência com gestão de várias partes interessadas internas e externas;

  • Head of Awards Management

The Head of Awards Management provides strategic and operational leadership to the Awards Management team. S/he is responsible for delivering an efficient and effective award management function. The role holder plays a key role in the development of a culture that ensures delivery of high-quality projects, on time, on budget and with quality. S/he oversees all award management activities both in the Country Office (CO) and across the Save the Children global network, as well as externally with donors. During the implementation of projects, the individual provides support and coaching to SCI field teams, enabling them to deliver on awards in a donor compliant manner. The role holder ensures and coordinates for consistent delivery of timely and quality donor financial and narrative reports. S/he works closely with Programme Operations and Finance staff at national and field offices.

The role holder is highly experienced in grants and financial management, reporting and donor communications. S/he is capable of providing strategic leadership to a dynamic team which is responsible for management of a significant and diverse portfolio of awards.

To be successful, you will bring/have:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post graduate qualification in Finance management, Grants management or equivalent

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in award/project management with NGOs, including proven experience of establishing and running the award management function in a Country Office;
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a senior management role;
  • Sound knowledge of the requirements and strategic perspectives of major institutional donors including budgeting, eligibility issues, compliance management, and reporting, notably USAID/BHA, EU (DEVCO and ECHO), GAC, FCDO, SIDA, NORAD, UNICEF and other UN agencies;
  • Experience of Title-II Programs;
  • Proven track record of active contribution to a senior management team and providing strategic support across multiple sectors and/or regions;
  • Very strong attention to detail and analysis of financial information and trends;
  • Pro-active and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to present complex information in a succinct, comprehensible and compelling manner;
  • Action-oriented analytical skills; demonstrated experience in setting up and maintaining quality assurance /compliance systems;
  • Excellent planning, management and coordination skills, with the ability to organise a demanding workload comprised of diverse and challenging tasks and responsibilities;
  • Experience of and well-developed skills in staff management, development & coaching, as well as supervision and oversight with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Proven strong coaching and capacity building skills;
  • Strong experience with multiple internal and external stakeholder management;
  • Strong communication (written and spoken), and interpersonal skills in English, with experience in managing multicultural teams;
  • Computer literate (i.e. WORD, advanced Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer, financial systems);
  • Patient, adaptable, flexible, culturally aware and able to improvise and remain responsive and communicate clearly and effectively under pressure;
  • Commitment to Save the Children values.

Desirable

  • Experience with Save the Children award management policies, procedures and systems (AMS);
  • Understanding of financial reporting from Save the Children’s accounting software (Agresso)

Portuguese (or Spanish) language skills.

Contract duration: 1 year (With possibility of extension)
