THE ENGLISH HERITAGE TRUST
From unveiling new design at historic sites to marking the Platinum Jubilee at Stonehenge, the award-winning English Heritage press office is an extremely fast-paced and high-performing team. With history at the charity’s heart, our imaginative and highly effective campaigns help to bring England’s story to life and to drive more visitors to our historic sites.
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly-organised individual to join our busy press office in London as a full time PR Assistant. The role will play a key part in the day-to-day work of promoting the country’s most iconic stone circles and castles, abbeys and historic houses.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in a busy office, and ideally some previous PR experience. You’ll be organised, efficient, great at multi-tasking, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be a welcoming first point of contact for the many media enquiries we receive every day. An ability to prioritise and recognise potentially sensitive issues when they first arise will be key. And that ever-important ‘can-do’ attitude is a must. The willingness to work outside standard office hours from time to time, and travel to our historic sites is desirable.
Everyone is welcome at English Heritage and we are always looking for people who reflect the diversity of the country today, to help us make it more relevant to the diversity of the people, communities and places we serve. We continually look for new ways to promote the past in a way that is inclusive to all and that celebrates the cultural diversity of England’s heritage. By joining English Heritage, you will be part of a charity that is already on an exciting journey to tell everyone’s story.
