Greening strategy:

ACTED’s greening strategy aims to tackle environmental degradation and climate change while meeting the needs of the most vulnerable who are often those most affected by the deepening environmental crisis. Each ACTED employee will adhere to these principles through key green programming responsibilities:

• Contribute towards the adherence and development of the greening strategy plan.
• Explore innovative green programming opportunities and/or solutions within your realm of responsibilities and roles
• Encouraging and promoting environmental safeguarding processes and environmental programming standards in accordance with SOPs and technical guideline notes

ACTED PSEAH Policy:

(Guard) has the responsibility to adhere to the PSEAH Policy (Protection against Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment). The (Guard) has the obligation to complete all mandatory training related to the Code of Conduct and the PSEA policy and report any safeguarding concern such as breaches of organizational policies or codes of conduct according to ACTED’s procedures. The (Guard) carries out work duties in a way that does not harm children, vulnerable adults, or other staff or volunteers

Location: Qah/ al-Salam Water Station 2 (al Ikram)

Job Purpose

The Guard is responsible for guarding ACTED premises and ensuring all ACTED assets are protected.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Guarding and protecting the premises
  • Guards are not to sleep whilst on duty and to remain alert.
  • Ensuring that both ACTED, and visitors’ vehicles are parked orderly in their designated areas.
  • Inspecting all vehicles entering ACTED premises.
  • Reporting the loss of any items or equipment to the line manager.
  • Ensuring that gates are locked at night.
  • Conducting regular checks of the perimeter of the premises.
  • In the event of a fire, guards are to try to extinguish the fire with available equipment.
  • Generator and solar panel control
  • Performing other tasks as requested by their supervisor

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

• No incidents of theft or sabotage are recorded at the premises he is guarding
• No reports of being detected sleeping during guarding shift.

QUALIFICATIONS

• The candidate must be living in the al Dana subdistrict.
• The candidate must have at least a primary school degree.
• The candidate must have previous experience as a guard.
• The candidate must be physically and personally fit
• The candidate must be able to write and read well in Arabic
• The candidate must be able to use basic communication means, especially WhatsApp
• The candidate should be accountable and committed to bearing responsibility
• The candidate should be punctual and a trustee.
• The candidate should be initiative and able to work with little supervision.
• The candidate is preferred to have certifications in safety and security training, mainly fire and first aid
• The candidate is preferred to have a high school degree
