We currently have a number of opportunities on both fixed-term and permanent contracts for a Group Assurance Business Partner. The roles can be based out of our Doxford Office in Sunderland, or Lacon House in London.

About the role
You will work with a team of business partners, to provide assurance to management that key change programmes have been appropriately implemented. This includes the delivery of ad-hoc assurance, including data analytics for Arriva Management (either Company level, Country level, Divisional Level or Group Level). This role will also provide direct support and Group-wide training in the area of Internal Controls Self-Assessment.
You will fulfil requests for business support such as E2E process and controls review and perform gap analysis to identify whether businesses are meeting minimum standards of compliance.
As part of the role, you will also respond to whistle-blowing allegations and investigate allegations of fraud, investigate non-compliance issues and make recommendations for effective remediation.
What we ask from you?
You will ideally have auditing and/or assurance experience with excellent organisation and communication skills, able to work confidently across with contacts across mainland Europe.
You have Strong verbal, written (including drafting) and reasoning skills and good computer skills – in particular Excel skills.
You are able to analyse, evaluate and identify accounting issues and control weaknesses and can work successfully together in a small team. Ideally, you are working towards or already achieved professional qualification in accountancy with auditing experience, but we are flexible depending on your experience in relation to the requirements of the role.
Internal Controls Self-Assessment experience is highly desirable.
