Graphic Designer (Full-time Mon-Sat INR 25k per month + dog and cat kisses!)

Are you an animal lover and a graphic designer all rolled into one?

Youth Organisation in Defence of Animals (YODA) runs a 5000 sq. ft shelter in the heart of Bandra, Mumbai housing about 50-80 domestic animals (mostly dogs and cats, sometimes other species) at any given point of time having a clinic facility and 10 staff members.

Reporting to: Head of Marketing

Responsibilities:

• Create, manage and oversee all social media graphic content
• Posts, stories, GIFs, videos to be created across social media platforms
• An equipped skill set to design on-ground collateral like posters, standees etc.
• Good knowledge of basics of video-making (animation knowledge will be an add-on but not required)
• Adhere to rules and regulations

Successful candidate:

• An understanding for the needs of our animals and deep compassion for animals
• Comfortable with working in challenging environments like shelter premises, sunny weather during events odd working hours etc.
• Understand content creation softwares and is able to use it at a intermediate/advanced level – Adobe photoshop, illustrator etc.
• Can think of creative ways to put on adoption posts and have knowledge of what will hit the target audience in the write way
• Ability to craft new innovative ideas to take care of pain points surrounding YODA brand and adoption campaigns
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Team working abilities
• Attributes enthusiasm and energy essential creative approach to tasks and problem solving

Essential Qualifications: – 3+ years experience in creating visual content for the digital world. Degree level education or equivalent professional qualification. Candidates from NGO background will be preferred, but not required. Advanced knowledge of graphic design softwares like Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects etc.
