Reporting to: Deputy Director, Fundraising Department

Working hours: 40 hours/week

Salary: Competitive

Position base: Siem Reap, Cambodia

Are you a skilled grant writer looking for a new challenge? Would you like to join a pioneering fundraising team improving health care for all Cambodian children?

Angkor Hospital for Children is a leading paediatric health care organisation with a mission of improving health care for all Cambodian children. For over twenty years, families have been bringing their children to the hospital for life-saving medical treatment, free of charge. Hundreds of children and families are seen every day and the hospital provides specialist treatment not found elsewhere in Cambodia. AHC has provided over 2 million medical treatments to children from across the country.

AHC also trains doctors and nurses and works in communities to deliver health education, conducts cutting edge research and influences policy and health system change – ensuring the impact of AHC’s work reaches beyond the hospital’s walls. Every day the team are saving and improving children’s lives, with the support of donors near and far.

It is an exciting time to be joining AHC. Transitioning to local leadership is a pillar of the current strategic plan and so the development and PR teams have been merged to create a multi-disciplinary Fundraising Department staffed by talented national and international fundraisers and communications specialists. The new department is well positioned to deliver funding for the organisation’s US$5.5 million dollar annual operating budget, and AHC is looking for a talented, dedicated and experienced Grants Manager to lead the Grants team.

The Role

The Grants Manager leads a team of 3-4 grants fundraisers responsible for raising at least $2.7 million per year for the hospital. AHC works with leading funders from around the world to achieve our mission. The team manages a portfolio of existing international and regional donors and multi-year grants, working with programme delivery teams on the timely development of quality reports, managing project data and grant renewals. You will develop and support a team of both national and international staff, building skills and expertise within the team and growing income from existing donors.
There are significant opportunities for developing new business, so the Grants Manager will identify new funding opportunities and design and develop proposals in with collaboration programme staff. The ideal candidate will have significant experience of developing grant programmes and initiating contact with new donors, with excellent communication and networking skills.

This is a fast paced and varied role with one of the region’s leading child health organisations with an innovative organisational strategy and influential global child health network. It’s an opportunity to learn from sector experts whilst working in a multicultural and diverse team. You’ll be based in the hospital grounds, seeing child health projects in action. You’ll help AHC ensure Cambodian children to have access to quality compassionate medical care wherever they live and whatever their ability to pay.
