7Hills Skatepark

​​7hills for Social Development is a grassroots, skateboarder driven non-for-profit based in Jordan. 7hills develops safe and inclusive skateparks and public spaces, and runs free of charge skateboarding, informal education, and arts programs for youths from all tiers of society.

Through the tool of skateboarding, the development of urban social infrastructure, and research-backed development programs, 7hills bridges the gap between socio-economic, cultural, religious, and gender differences to create harmonized open democratic spaces for marginalized people, females, and youth in Jordan.

7hills is looking for an experienced grants and reporting manager to join its team and support the organization in responding to open calls and securing grants to run its programs.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and map relevant funding opportunities for the organization
  • Lead, write, and submit funding applications and proposals
  • Lead communication with governmental bodies (municipalities, ministries), donors and the private sector and ensure upkeep of relationships
  • Work in close collaboration with programs manager to develop proposals
  • Provide reporting templates for other team members and follow up on their completion
  • Produce reports (progress, monthly, closing) as requested by funders, donors and governmental bodies in English and Arabic as needed
  • Lead monitoring and evaluation for all activities in collaboration with programs manager
  • Support management in building strategic partnerships with local and international organizations

Qualifications

  • No less than 4 years of solid experience in grants management
  • Excellent command of Arabic and English both written and spoken
  • Experience working with governmental and donor bodies in Jordan
  • Knowledge of local and international institutional grants
  • Experience working in development sectors, sports and/or youth are a plus
  • Knowledge of skateboarding is a plus
  • Ability to work within a small team, manage priorities, and work independently
  • Applicant must be based in Jordan

Contract details

  • The ideal start date is January 2023
  • 6 months contract with 2 months probation, renewable
  • Full time (40 hours) with flexibility to work from home
