Black Country Women’s Aid (BCWA) is an established charity working across the Black Country and wider West Midlands providing accommodation and community support services to victims of domestic abuse, sexual abuse and human trafficking. Services range from advocacy, civil remedies, support in court, individual and group support and access to a range of therapeutic interventions. All services are client and needs led.

Job Title: Grant Fundraising and Development Officer

Position available: 1 full-time position (37.5 hours), based across the Black Country

Salary: £25,682 – £28,391

Are you a persuasive bid-writer with a good knowledge of grant funding and a track record of successful applications? Black Country Women’s Aid is looking for a talented individual to support the development and growth of our services. You will be self-motivated, resourceful and a great communicator, who will help us to build on past successes and shape this new role.

The Role

As BCWA’s grant fundraising and development officer, you will work with our development manager to implement a new grant funding strategy, identify appropriate grant-making bodies including trusts and foundations, and develop high-quality funding applications. You will also work closely with our operational teams and users of our services to identify needs and develop new project ideas.

This role will provide the opportunity for a creative and skilled fundraiser to showcase their talent and further develop their skills and knowledge. Working within our corporate services, the grant fundraising and development officer will be part of a supportive and innovative team.

BCWA has adapted services during COVID to support victims of violence and abuse that meet all the latest Government guidance. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is available at all our sites and distributed to all staff as appropriate.

You will receive appropriate training to undertake the duties of the job on and on and offsite basis and all situations are risk assessed.
