Job Overview

The Grant Compliance Specialist primary responsibilities focus on supporting the resettlement team during the extended case management period by ensuring high ECM quality program implementation and compliance. The objectives of the ECM specialist position include developing and implementing processes to support program monitoring, file tracking system and ensuring compliance with resettlement and extended case management documentation requirements. This position will also build capacity within the resettlement team and other office staff members with TEVS data entry, TANF eligibility data entry and orientations to the ECM and RP programs.

Major Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

  • Ensure TANF eligibility documentation are completed and entered in the TEVS and UWORKS systems
  • Work across programs to ensure services provided including self-sufficiency plans and assessments are adequately recorded in UWORKS
  • Implement systems to review UWORKS data for quality assurance and compliance on weekly basis
  • Ensure TANF cases closure in TEVS system after clients exit extended case management
  • Implement and monitor clients’ assessments tracking system to inform team’s goal and progress
  • Perform any functions in regard to contract or sub-contract related to extended case management services for refugees; this includes Employment Contract, Matching Grant Contract, and any other contract that provides funding and/or services for IRC and refugee clients.
  • Assist the resettlement team with clients’ bus orientation coordination
  • Assist the resettlement team with administering cultural orientation assessments to newly arrived refugees
  • Other RP & ECM duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with a concentration in policy management, non-profit management or related.

Work Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience in refugee US resettlement program strongly preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience working on the Reception and Placement and Extended Case management program

Demonstrated Skills/Competencies

  • Computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with ETO, UWORKS and other databases a plus.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Work requires both independent and working closely with team members
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, set priorities, effectively manage time, and meet deadlines; strong attention to detail.
  • Fluency in English required.

Working Environment

  • A combination of standard office environment, remote work, and ‘field’ time within the service delivery area to perform the above outlined responsibilities.
  • May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
