The Opportunity

CUBIC is seeking a Master’s or early career intern to support our project in attaining a stronger administrative system with processes that are clear, efficient, and user-friendly all round by reducing administrative frictions, or sludge, in Save the Children International’s system.

Key Responsibilities

The intern will be integrated into the 13-person CUBIC team and will have the opportunity to get involved in pioneering work in the organization and work towards generating more evidence in this nascent topic in the field of behavioural science. The expectation for the intern is that s/he would primarily contribute to:

  • Desk review
    • Conducting desk research that includes literature reviews, data availability, and project documentation on behavioral issues/previous evidence on this topic
    • Conducting stakeholder/policy mapping
  • Data collection
    • Conducting quantitative and qualitative research
  • Data analysis
    • Conducting statistical analysis of existing surveys, census, and available datasets
    • Conducting statistical analysis of impact evaluations
    • Coding and analyzing qualitative data
    • Presenting of data in compelling and understandable ways
  • Analytical work
    • Supporting the preparation of presentations
    • Supporting the design of experiments
    • Drafting and/or editing project briefs, reports, and case studies
    • Drafting academic papers for journal submission, where results are suitable for publication
    • Assisting with behavioral design training sessions
    • Other tasks as per the intern’s time and interest, and needs of CUBIC
