Our graduate programmes are intended for recent graduates. As part of this programme in Multi Asset & Quantitative Investment, you will not only develop the technical and interpersonal skills needed in your future career at Pictet but also be given the opportunity to build a network of peers within the company.
The Quest team is made up of investment professionals responsible for managing a range of long-only & long-short equity strategies and several multi-asset products & solutions. The team have experience in infrastructure development, feature engineering, model building, artificial intelligence, risk management, portfolio implementation and strategy development so they can deliver effectively for their clients.
We offer you a permanent position starting with a unique 18-month programme during which you will rotate through different teams and location.
At the end of the programme, you will be ready to take full ownership of a position on the quantitative equities team as a junior data scientist. Your role will be to assist the team with its technology stack (data pipeline, workflow monitoring) as with advanced machine learning techniques (NLP, evolutionary algorithms).
As the chosen Graduate you will show curiosity, openness and humility. Moreover, your pragmatic mindset will enable you to blend in seamlessly in a cognitively diverse environment.
Your profile
- MsC in computer science or an interdisciplinary education in Engineering and Finance from a top university.
- Strong interest in or skilled at coding (Python, SQL) in a data driven environment.
- Machine learning techniques (neural networks, random forest, NLP).
- Deep understanding of ML pipelines and related tools in a live production environment (ML Flow, W&B, …).
- Familiar with hyperparameter optimization techniques and frameworks (Optuna, HyperOpt, …).
- Computation Parallelization and Distribution (Ray, Dask, …).
- Previous exposure to financial data would be a plus.
- Good command of English.
- Must be resident in Switzerland or willing to relocate.
