As part of our ‘Future Leaders’ Graduate Programme this Assistant Brand Manager role will contribute fully to the delivery of one of our brand teams, with a high degree of influence and responsibility.

As an Assistant Brand Manager you will support the Senior Brand Manager to build marketing leading brands that people talk about. You will support the development and the implementation of the brand strategy and work with our commercial teams to develop growth plans.

You will also take full responsibility for developing and implementing key brand initiatives such as product renovation development projects, product launches and social media campaigns, to deliver the overall revenue and profit delivery of a brand portfolio. You will develop, drive and execute the strategic marketing plan for the brand portfolio, ensuring short, and long-term financial targets are achieved.

Key accountabilities

  • You will support the Senior Brand Manager in the development and implementation of the annual brand plan as well as other consumer and commercial plans for growth.
  • You will assist on key communication and activation projects, with the potential to work with external agencies on projects that may include social, advertising, media, PR, and in-store activations.
  • You will lead part of the brand portfolio which may include recommending actions to drive brand performance. You will act as the brand and consumer champion both internally within pladis UK and externally with the field sales team.
  • You will be responsible for analysing brand and market information in order to produce and present standard financial & performance reporting decks (as well as ad-hoc analysis).
  • You will help identify consumer insight and competitor analysis to unlock growth opportunities for pladis.
  • You will help develop and manage innovation and renovation projects for pladis which will include project management tasks.
  • You will liaise with external agencies to make changes to pack designs and deliver projects.
  • You will update product packaging in accordance with ingredient, regulatory design amendments and promotional requirements. You will support the brand manager to ensure timely and effective execution.
  • You will assist with internal PR activity to raise the profile of various marketing events within pladis (e.g. Launch of new advertising, brand launches etc).
  • You will assist in the development and implementation of marketing initiatives, including out-of-home advertising, digital, social media, or in-store. You will develop your knowledge of best practices and recent trends.
  • You will support other teams in the business to deliver brand building and sales driving programmes, including new product launches.

Location and Salary

This role will be based at pladis’ brand new global head office at the beautiful Chiswick Park, which comprises of 1.8 million sq ft of award-winning accommodation and over 45,000 sq ft of retail including the on-site Virgin Active gym, restaurants, convenience stores and an ever-changing array of pop-up traders and street-food vendors.

The starting salary is £30,000 with a joining bonus of £1,000 to help you prepare for the scheme, which includes moving and other expenses. This would need to be repaid should you decide to leave within 12 months of the programme.
