Warehouse Supervisor

Overview

The company itself has been in continuous operation since prohibition was repealed in 1933 and produces 15 million cases of spirits a year of over 2,000 different brands. They are a blender and bottler of wines, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages. This facility has seven automated production lines ranging from 80 bottles per minute to 500 bottles per minute. The individual that would be perfect for this position has a working knowledge of the beverage industry, strong communication and leadership skills, and the desire to grow with an expanding company.

Responsibilities include:

Overseeing receiving and dispatching procedures for shipments
Assigning workloads and daily tasks to Warehouse Associates
Communicating with customers to answer shipping and receiving questions and troubleshoot problems
Monitoring inventory and shipment transactions for accuracy
Ensuring inventory and storage areas are clean and maintained
Monitoring Warehouse Associates to ensure safety procedures are being followed when operating forklifts and other machinery

Skills and Qualifications:

Warehouse supervisory experience- minimum of 2 years
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to delegate when assigning employee workloads
Problem-solving skills to handle customer complaints and production issues
Clear knowledge of warehouse operations
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Management skills
Leadership and organizational skills to run the warehouse efficiently
Proficiency in inventory and/or invoice software
Ability to remain stationary for extended periods when working on the warehouse floor
