We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Global TPA Loss Fund Accountant to join our team based in the UK.

The opportunity:

Reporting jointly to the European Financial Controller and Head of TPA Analytics and Solutions, and working closely with the Global TPA team you will be responsible for all aspects of managing loss fund accounts, whilst also undertaking a number of supporting financial roles including bank reconciliations, managing cashbooks and providing financial reports to the business and clients.

The Loss Fund Accountant will perform analysis of financial metrics as well as calculating and reporting on income and expense and ensuring that the client’s fund account is managed efficiently.

The role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Bank reconciliations for all client accounts on ERP and LEAP
  • Month-end internal system reconciliations
  • Opening and closing of client accounts
  • Management of niche payment requests on online banking system
  • Excel cashbook updates
  • Reporting of client accounts account balance to the business
  • Re-evaluation of client accounts
  • Fund Level Monitoring
  • Management and monitoring of financial exchange rate conversions
  • Client accounts/Bordereaux reconciliation on a monthly basis
  • Resolving queries in a timely manner
  • Liaising with Operations and Banks when necessary
  • Working on improvements for efficiency
  • Other ad-hoc duties as and when required
  • Work closely with other members of the local and corporate finance team.

About you – Knowledge and Experience:

  • Experience of working in an accounts/finance department within a professional services environment
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot table & V-Look ups)
  • Proven experience using accounting software. Knowledge of Deltek Vision would be advantageous
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, being able to communicate in a clear, concise and structured manner
  • Strong relationship management skills, with a capability of establishing good working relationships with your team, colleagues and 3rd parties
  • Comfortable communicating with financial and non-financial colleagues at all levels
  • Excellent stakeholder management with an ability to manage multiple priorities and conflicting demands
  • Organised and able to self-manage workload, having a methodical, accurate and analytical approach to work, with a considerable pride in quality of output
  • Able to produce information of high quality to strict deadlines and be flexible to ensure deadlines are consistently met
  • Comfortable working within a regulated industry and adhering to compliance policies
  • Thrive in a high-pressured working environment.
