Job Description
We are looking for motivated talent to participate in Tenneco’s Global Trade Compliance (GTC) internship program. GTC is part of the Supply Chain organization with a primary focus on regulatory trade compliance and cross-border facilitation. Projects and deliverables include:
- Development of programs, tools, procedures and selection and onboarding of automation that assist in compliance assessment and measurement.
- Gathering, analyzing, and reporting on governmental and company data.
- Performing various root cause analyses and associated proposals for prevention.
- Tracking and trending of data to identify opportunities, threats in SWOT framework.
- Collaborating with cross-functional partners.
Required Skills
- Desire to gain experience in the trade compliance field.
- Comfortable in the governmental and compliance regulatory space.
- A sense of urgency.
- Eager to learn about process and regulatory compliance and auditing.
- Strong interpersonal qualities; comfortable stepping into new situations with new people.
- Demonstrated data and presentation skills in Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
- Motivated by working in a collaborative and a customer-focused environment.
- Advanced English proficiency; located in United States.
Required Experience And Achievements
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Tax, International Business, or Legal.
- Must be undergraduate rising senior, senior or graduate student.
- Proven track record of accomplishments both inside and outside of the educational setting.
