IRW is currently recruiting for the position of ‘Global Programme Impact & MEAL Manager’ to join its dynamic International Programme Division.

The purpose of the role is to lead IRW’s Global Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) team, to ensure that IRW develops and institutionalises the appropriate tools and frameworks to evidence impact and learning from its global programmes.

The postholder will play a key role in ensuring that IRW can evidence impact in relation to IRW’s global strategy and will represent IRW to strategic and cross organisational donors, in the context of evidence, impact and learning. S/He will work closely with the Global Operations and Disaster Risk Management Departments to collect evidence of result-focused delivery, impact and value for money, as well as ensuring quality input into key bid development processes. The post holder is also the global lead for promoting and fostering processes for programme innovation based on evidence and learning.

The successful candidate must have or be:

  • Experience of leading rigorous impact evaluations within an INGO across multiple country contexts
  • Extensive experience of qualitative research and quantitative data analysis
  • Excellent knowledge of current sector trends in relation to MEAL in the context of INGOs
  • Experience in relation to external CHS verification or certification and/or INGO quality management systems
  • Experience of developing and/or leading on deployment of global digital MEAL systems
  • Excellent team leadership and management skills
  • Track record in successfully contributing/leading in bid development
  • Excellent strategic and systems-based thinker with experience of writing impact-focused strategic reports for senior management
  • Experience of engaging, influencing and sharing best practise with external agencies and internal stakeholders in relation to MEAL
