Global Lead Digital Community Hub.

Norwegian Refugee Council

NRC’s global strategic plan for 2022-2025 includes Digital Transformation as a strategic enabler for the organisation and a key element in expanding the reach of our assistance towards the 2030 ambition. To do so, NRC is increasingly adopting digital solutions to drive internal efficiencies as well as provide digital services to the people it serves. Key to all this will be NRC’s ability to secure systems, applications and the data these will process, to ensure privacy, confidentiality and avoid causing digital harm. The Digital Community Hub (DCH) was established to create new channels of communication with people in need, those that are displaced and the communities we serve. Its aim is to broaden community engagement to promote more impactful, informed and evidence-based programming.

The DCH in its simplest form is an information-sharing channel via mobile phones. DCHs are formed in NRC countries as an integrated modality of project delivery, allowing for programmes to access platforms and communication channels to consolidate community engagement over mobile phones using a centralized approach to data capture, engagement tracking, and communication management. The DCH is currently being utilized, at varying stages of development, in 20 NRC country offices around the world.

NRC is now looking for a Project Manager to continue to manage the DCH and to represent the business owner’s needs and perspective, including coordinating with the various key informants and perspective users in defining requirements, feedback, roll out schedules, etc.
