Health and Medical Solutions operates in Incontinence Care, Wound care, Compression Therapy and Orthopedic solutions. We are global leaders in Incontinence Care and Compression therapy, with the TENA and Jobst brand respectively. We furthermore have strong positions in Wound care with Leukoplast and Cutimed as well as in Orthopedic solutions with i.e. Actimove and Deltacast.
HMS is a global Business Unit within Essity that consist of 5300 people spanning across Europe, Asia-Pacific, North America and MEA.
About The Role
Global E-Commerce Director is responsible for developing and leading the E-Business growth strategy for HMS, covering buying and selling of goods and services online, servicing customers online, collaborating with all E-Commerce players and business partners, conducting e-Learning, and conducting electronic transactions within an organization.
You will be a key player to continue establishing Essity as industry leader in the evolving ecommerce channel. You will have the overall responsibility to develop and ensure best in class E-Commerce resources for HMS (Business Unit).

What You Will Do
- Own and deliver the E-Commerce Channel Strategy, develop medium- and long-term plans for the online channel that deliver accelerated growth and profitability, considering customer requirements on a holistic HMS level, market conditions, competitive frame, financial requirements, consumer trends and brand plans.
- Lead E-Commerce transformation in HMS. Drive the organization to be ahead of the game in a fast-growing e-commerce segment to ensure that (follow-up, initiate corrective actions and report deviations) HMS is delivering according to BU strategy/ yearly targets
- Understand and communicate account’s sales performance, online analytics, customer data and other KPIs to formulate actionable insights that actively drive online trade
- Leverage analytics tools to guide and ensure execution of aligned activities in the markets and enable the markets to activate and measure.
- Lead how ‘best in class’ E-Commerce content looks like, and support implementation of tools in local markets that minimizes handling for content creation, activation and enable tracking (e.g. perfect store online).
- Drive development and implementation of E-Services, for example internal TENA Assist and Health and Medical B2B E-Shop.
- Drive E-Commerce Self Pay/D2C (Direct to Consumer) sales for HMS
- Be externally connected and updated on market trends, analyze, and translate the impact and propose way forward
- Serve as the internal expert in E-Commerce sales and activation; educate all levels of the organization on mid/long term online channel vision, goals, and requirements; key initiator and contributor to best practice sharing, networks, and projects across the total Essity cross functional organization
- Cooperation with Business Development and Sales Excellence areas
- Lead and motivate a direct team for the HMS Business Unit, manage E-Commerce strategies and plans, DTC and provides functional guidance for our regional and local E-Commerce Sales and Shopper Marketing organization
- Accountable for ensuring and securing close alignment between regional/customer-specific plans and E-Commerce, Sales & Marketing activation strategies & business goals.
Who You Are
- 15 years of experience within Sales or Marketing in the international company, and a minimum of 10 years of E-Commerce Management experience
- E-commerce start-up experience is welcome
- A self-starter with a passion for achievement; integrity and drive with a strong desire to make things happen
- Background from working in international matrix organizations
- Very good understanding of the online channel trends, tools and practices
- Ability to work effectively with cross functional teams and influence win-win outcomes across different layers in the organization and externally with customers
- Proven track-record to manage and lead transformational business and organizational change
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Exceptional written and oral English communication skills; multi-language candidates highly preferred
- Possess a University degree in relevant area
