Professionals within Legal and Compliance (LCD) provide a wide range of services to our business units. They might help to structure a complex and sensitive cross-border transaction; advise on a new product introduction; develop a training program or defuse an investor dispute. They preserve the firm’s invaluable reputation for integrity and protect the firm from sanctions with policies and procedures that meet regulatory requirements around the world. They also strive to maintain cooperative relationships with governmental policy makers and the regulatory and self-regulatory agencies that govern the firm’s businesses.
The Enterprise Compliance Policy and Rules Management team contains two primary functions. The Policy Office sets and enforces Firmwide content and governance standards for LCD and Enterprise Risk Management policies and maintains the firm’s repository for policies, procedures, and related documents. The Compliance Rules Management Office (Rules Management Office) manages LCD’s rules management program, which includes regulatory change monitoring and a central rules inventory, and maintains the Firm’s rules management system.

The role will require collaboration with divisions outside Legal and Compliance, regional/divisional rules and policy management teams, a support team in Mumbai, technology teams that support related systems, Compliance program/policy owners and members of the Firm’s senior management.
The successful candidate will be an experienced professional with a background in Compliance, Legal or regulatory roles relating to the financial services industry and a strong track record in roles that involve reviewing, analyzing or tracking laws, rules and regulations, as well as experience in dealing with stakeholders across Firm functions, including senior personnel.
