Head of Operations (Vernier Site) – Your future position?
You will lead Vernier manufacturing site (chemical and compounding production), site building, utilities, facilities and EHS. You will implement and sustain the most efficient operations standards for safety, health and environmental protection, manufacturing and supply chain, quality, utilities and resource utilization. You will lead short- and long-term site planning, establish programs to achieve site goals. You will be a member of the Vernier Site Committee and of the EAME Compounding Team. You will report to the Head of Compounding EAME.
Your main responsibilities will be: Drive Sustainability, Operations Strategy, Operations Excellence, Continuous Improvement Culture and People Management.
You will:
Ensure safe and environmentally responsible environment
Safeguard assets under responsibility
Develop 10 years Road Map, Site Development and Investment Plan, Budget and annual tactical plan
Develop and approve departmental business plans and budgets
Promote safety, service, quality and cost (including inventory management) to best in class levels
Support implementation of supply chain and manufacturing Excellence program
Define operations procedures
Collaborate with the commercial leads to ensure agreement of commercial and regional, site operations strategies
Ensure maintenance of assets
Ensure in-time, in-budget and in-quality implementation of all approved CAPEX projects
Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives, Role model the expected Continuous Improvement behaviours
Inspire and coach others, manage and enrich candidate pool
Represent site management in Unions and Employees representatives interactions
Be accountable for the safety and health of the workforce
Make recommendation to Regional Operations on strategic programs and investment proposals and implement accordingly
Your professional profile includes:
Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering
10 years related experience of which min. 3 years in an equivalent leadership position
Fluency in English and French languages
Sound Business Acumen and high level of learning agility
Experience in LEAN
Technical knowledge of manufacturing / Supply Chain processes with knowledge of chemical or compounding processes, processing, manufacturing system and supply chain management (in consumer goods industry of advantage)
Understanding of accounting, budgeting, capital justification and certifications, EHS requirements
Strong leadership skills, develop talent, build teams
Ability to run cross-functional teams / projects
Establish trust and credibility
Excellent collaboration within the Operations and other departments
Experience in labour relations (work council and Unions)
