Description
Position Summary The General Support Officer will be assisting and supporting the Head of Missions and Trauma Specialist to effectively coordinate the project implementation with a special focus on finances (bookkeeping, financial reporting, administration, and finances). She reports to the Head of Mission in KRI.
Project setup
The duty station of the General Support Officer is Dohuk, with possible occasional travel within KRI.
Key responsibilities
- Support organizing the regional office, consisting of one international Head of Mission, one international Technical Specialist, and one local Driver;
- Ensure administrative support to the Head of Mission and Trauma specialist;
- Support travel arrangements for local and international staff and consultants;
- Ensure the bookkeeping and Data entries on daily basis;
- Cash management, such as cash disbursements, cash, and bank reconciliation;
- Stock management;
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Experience/knowledge and skills
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or any related field.
- At least (3) years of relevant work experience in a similar post with an international /National NGO
- Knowledge and experience in administrative; financial accounting, HR, and a full range of office support work,
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, Kurdish / Arabic.
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) & Internet.

- Quick learner with an ability to cope and assimilate job requirements.
- Stress-resilient and flexible.
- Strong communications, coordination, interpersonal and intercultural skills: ability to communicate with actors from the grassroots to the national level, both governmental and non-governmental.
- Contract status: Consultancy contract (Maternity coverage)
