Summary Description

We are currently seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, and experienced individual for the position of General Manager/Managing Director, Myovant Sciences GmbH (“MSG”).This position organizes, plans, directs, and oversees Myovant’s global business operations at its primary operating entity in Basel, Switzerland. The General Manager/Managing Director directs the design and implementation of medium and long-term governance and business strategies, plans and procedures, as well as the organization, planning, direction, and oversight of the GmbH entity. She/He is responsible for MSG’s organizational development, personnel management, budget and resource development, and strategic planning. She/He understands the entire business cycle, all business operations, internal and external relationships, and communication channels, making it possible to ensure that each component of the value chain is effective, optimized and well-aligned to deliver strong operational performance and meet the needs of the Company’s global strategies. In addition, the General Manager will also serve as a Managing Director on the Board of Directors of MSG.

The location of the position is in Basel, Switzerland.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the MSG master plan and related investments, in line with strategic plans of the Company.
• Accountable for the site financials/P&L and operational performance, as well as for all aspects of the MSG business including Operations, Finance, HR, IT, Facilities, and capital
• Collaborate with Myovant colleagues to design and implement international business strategies in the areas of partnership management (including functional support to partners in commercial, market access, medical affairs, supply), Life Cycle Management, International R&D, International Medical Affairs.
• Establish and maintain an effective organizational structure for MSG, recommending changes to the organizational structure to meet evolving governance and business demands, and striving to optimize Myovant’s operations.
• Recruit and retain top leadership talent to MSG and build corporate infrastructure
• Hire leadership team members including MSG Board members
• Build and ensure connectivity between Basel and Company’s other international offices, including in U.S.
• Foster existing Myovant cultural norms and “ways of working”
• Serve as a Role Model Leader demonstrating strong communication and interactions with colleagues, promoting positive employee relations and fostering customer-centricity throughout the site.
• Lead implementation and maintenance of global governance strategy and ensure that necessary corporate governance measures are being followed and optimized
• Ensure proper governance is in place around all major Myovant group-company decisions and assist with implementation of MSG involvement in key decisions across Myovant
• Finalize governance “playbook”, train Company on new processes
• Create and maintain necessary documentation for validation and audits
• Develop relationships with vendors and community groups
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding business operations

Requirements

• 15+ years of pharmaceutical experience, in a leadership
• Strong understanding of the drug development and regulatory processes, lifecycle management and commercialization of therapeutics.
• Successfully partnering with other leaders within a matrix organization to achieve common goals
• Experience leading, mentoring and developing diverse teams
• Experience working in international business operations, including with S. companies
• Experience directly running a P&L
