Summary of Position:

The Gender and Social Inclusion Expert will be responsible for identifying best practices and develop and implement strategies to recruit, support, and graduate female trainees at equal rates to men in the program. This activity will aim to produce graduates who are hired in relevant jobs in the energy and adjacent sectors; support a high-quality, dynamic, and inclusive training program(s) that serves the needs of the energy and adjacent sectors by providing them with skilled technicians; and establish new technical training programs and/or build upon existing technical training programs to provide the skills demanded by employers in the energy and adjacent sectors, facilitating the Government’s just energy transition. They will also seek to identify and implement strategies to promote the full participation and success of minority populations in the program. They will also liaise closely with the consultant procured to design and implement the Inclusive Energy Sector Workforce Activity to identify and take advantage of synergies with that activity.

Only citizens of Kosovo or residents with work authorization will be considered. This position is contingent on funding.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Masters or PHD degree is preferred) in Public Policy, Gender Studies, Social Studies, Anthropology, Public Administration, or related field
  • At least eight years of experience with gender and social inclusion in education/training and/or women’s workforce participation
  • Experience with inclusive stakeholder consultation, and with ensuring the input and voices of under-represented groups, including women
  • Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Albanian and/or Serbian is preferred.
  • Prior experience working on projects related to technical training is desirable
  • Prior experience in the energy or adjacent sectors is desirable
  • Prior experience working on similar projects in in the Balkans is desirable
  • Prior experience working with minority communities is desirable
