GENDER ADVISOR (INT8982)

Do you have highly developed strategic thinking and planning skills to incorporate gender justice and gender transformative agenda into humanitarian and early recovery programming ?

Do you have demonstrated practical experience in gender analysis, needs assessment and mainstreaming gender into public health and/or livelihoods programmes in humanitarian and/or development settings in the Middle East or Syria?

Do you have evidence of capacity to develop capacity building plans and deliver customised high-quality training to local and national NGOs?

The Role

We are looking for the Gender advisor who guides and assists the programme teams in 1) mainstreaming gender, 2) developing gender transformative action and 3) influencing for Gender Justice. This involves delivery on the Gender in Emergencies minimum standards and Oxfam’s Feminist Humanitarian Framework, the development of strategic partnerships with local organisations, external coordination, capacity building and technical support towards Oxfam’s field teams and programme partners.
