Consultancy Title:

Capacity building for partners in GBV and SOPs in order to improve the comprehensive protection system for Syrian refugee women and Jordanian women survivors of GBV affected by the Syrian humanitarian crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic in Irbid Governorate.

Contract Type : Consultancy contract.

Duration: 65 Days between (15 February – 15 June 2020).

Brief Project Description:

The project provides humanitarian protection response to 300 Syrian and Jordanian refugee women survivors of GBV and sexual violence in Irbid, affected by the crisis, exacerbated by COVID-19. It will ensure inclusive and quality access to multi-sectoral GBV and sexuality response services, accompaniment to obtain refugee status and support for their livelihoods and economic autonomy.

Deliverables:

· Design training module and material for GBV to build the partner capacity to provide a high-quality service and following-up the SOP’s.

· Conduct 5 workshops -training on SOPs to local partners.

· Accompany AWO to ensure the implementation of SOPs in the provision of quality services Conduct 5 coaching and mentoring visits and session with partner (one/month) and provide guidance and best practices.

· Conduct 3 sessions to partner staff in the Prevention of Sexual Harassment, Abuse and Exploitation.

· Design training materials on safe, accessible and effective complaints mechanism for Sexual Harassment, Abuse and Exploitation, Corruption and Other Forms of Misconduct (PSEA).

· Conduct 2 sessions to partner on safe, accessible and effective complaints mechanism for (PSEA).

· Design training modules materials on socialization and reconstruction of mutual support networks.

· Conduct 2 days’ workshop on human’s Women rights for 8 groups (16 days).

· Conduct 2 days’ workshop on causes of GBV for 8 groups (16 days).

· Conduct 1 workshop on the Status of Refugees and associated rights and obligations for 8 groups (8 days).

· Conduct 1 workshop protection before COVID for 8 groups (8 days).

· Deliver training and Mentoring reports.

Consultancy cost : 3,029 Euros.

Required experience and skills:

· Degree in social protection, development, humanitarian response (or similar sectors).

· At least 5 years of experience in the management of projects in the field, on technical training, and protection of survivors of SGBV (Sexual and gender-based violence).

· Experience and knowledge in refugee status, protection mechanisms and protection measures COVID-19.

· Knowledge of guidelines and standard operating procedures for the management of GBV and sexual violence (SOP).

· Knowledge of the operational context of Jordan.

· Good understanding of HRBA (Human Rights Based Approach) and gender equality principles.

· Excellent facilitation and training skills.

· Strong intercultural awareness.

· Ability to work in an unstable and changing environment.

· Ability to be creative and independent, in the field and in the office.

· Fluency in written and spoken English.

Excellent reporting skills. **
