Department Profile
Operations is one of the largest divisions in the firm and has diverse responsibilities, including correctly settling and recording millions of transactions per day, identifying and mitigating all operational risks, developing strong client relationships and partnering with technology to realize the full potential of IT and e-solutions. Throughout, the Operations department continually seeks ways to improve while actively supporting the development of new businesses, structures and markets.
Performing day to day Gain & Loss functions within the Branch Services sub-group, which provides direct interaction with client-facing teams in order to ensure that the Firm fulfills its regulatory obligation to provide accurate cost basis reporting to clients and the IRS. This hire is critical in order to ensure that the department can provide world class service to our partners by ensuring team stability and continuity to our team members, which would not be accomplished by hiring a temporary or consultant in the role. Onboarding is necessary at this time in order to ensure proper training is completed prior to expected increase to work volume for the 2022 tax season, as well as for upcoming integration of Shareworks and eTrade, which are expected to increase current work volumes. A remote training plan for this position has been created and implemented.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Business field and experience in the Financial Industry
- Understanding of general accounting principles as they apply to the industry
- Understanding of general process controls, with knowledge of database, spreadsheet applications, and data modelling, including Microsoft Excel, Access and other Office applications
- Superior Communication Skills, both oral and written
Role is Hybrid and will require in office attendance 3 days/week.
