Remuneration: 6,700-7,700 USD/month

The role

Working as a member of the Leadership Team, the Fundraising and Strategic Partnerships Director will work closely with CEO, leadership team and Board to manage the development and implementation of CLEAR Global’s fundraising and partnerships program, to help reach core stakeholders with our vision: Helping people get vital information, and be heard, whatever language they speak.

We are looking for a creative, proactive, adaptable Fundraising and Partnerships Director experienced in building strategic funding relationships and networks within a global organization with proven communication skills to join our growing team.

In our organizational strategy we have set ourselves some ambitious goals. In the funding and partnerships team, we seek to develop existing and build more strategic partnerships with bilateral and multilateral donor agencies that would increase the income, influence, and programmatic impact.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a 2-3 year program of work that shifts and transforms the fundraising model from reactive to proactive; bringing people from across the organization into fundraising based on partnerships.
  • Develop and manage relationships with organizational donors, foundations, corporate donors and individuals working closely with CEO, leadership team and Board;
  • Manage and oversee fundraising campaigns, events, and CLEAR Global’s language services sales;
  • Lead the Fundraising and Partnerships team;
  • Develop compelling concept notes, presentations, applications and associated budgets for submission to potential funders, with support from program and finance teams;
  • Have the overview of any funding reporting/compliance due on grants or as requested by funders, including coordinating inputs
  • Identify fundraising opportunities and promote CLEAR Global’s work;
  • Build a pipeline of prospective donors through research and networking.

Qualifications

The Fundraising and Strategic Partnerships Director should be an innovative self-starter with a strong sense of initiative, an understanding of the humanitarian sector, management credentials, and enthusiastic about the importance of increasing access to knowledge through language. The right candidate is an energetic team player and leader who agrees with CLEAR Global’s basic beliefs and values and who can work virtually with team members based throughout the world.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in humanities, international relations, development or relevant field (preferred)
  • Experience in fundraising strategies formulation and implementation, donor acquisition and retention, writing successful bids and managing donors/clients.
  • Previous experience with International organizations/ exposure to International settings
  • Experience managing team members remotely, with the ability to motivate and support
  • Strong writing and presentation skills in English, proficiency in other languages desired
  • Fluency and writing skills in one or more other languages relevant for humanitarian response preferred
  • Familiarity with language and/or communications technology desirable
