We are looking for a Funding and Strategic Partnerships Director at a pivotal time of transition and change for the organisation

What you’ll be doing:

In this role, you will provide strategic direction and leadership in line with Oxfam’s feminist principles and values. Lead the team to engage with strategic funding partners including, institutions foundation, private sector, philanthropists and artists. Be accountable for the income and gift in kind from strategic partners. Ensure these donors have a powerful experience of Oxfam’s story and brand, and that their partnership is valued. Bring these donors with Oxfam as we work towards decolonisation and becoming an anti-racist organisation. Link to the confederation institutional funding groups. Deputy for the Chief Support Officer.

You’ll have:

We’re looking for a candidate who cares about Oxfam’s mission to end poverty and is personally aligned to the values of empowerment, accountability, and inclusion in all you do and our feminist principles.
An ideal candidate for the role will also have/ be:

  • Experience of managing performance of others and helping people to develop, grow and achieve their potential, including increasing diversity and inclusion in teams and / or workplaces, and creating positive change in work culture, processes and practices.
  • Lived experience (s) or evidence of learning/taking action on anti-racism and inequalities
  • Experience of developing, implementation and oversight of a broad strategy and vision
  • Record of successful negotiating and influencing at corporate level –internally and externally
  • Record of engagement with countries and global programme partners for mutual, positive, outcomes
  • Able to inspire staff, departments and peers – being highly motivated and with a clear vision
  • Evidence of sound and swift judgement to take tough decisions, using critical information gathering
  • Good financial management ability managing investments, costs, short- and long-term planning
  • Good communications experience to manage messages and audiences
