Front-End Web Developer Internship

Tasks

Position Summary:

Throughout this three-month unpaid internship, the Front-End Developer will assist in the development of the landing page and similar web-based tools to promote our digital health platform.

The additional duties will include:

• Creating website layout/user interfaces by using standard HTML/CSS practices
• Writing well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
• Integrating data from various back-end services and databases
• Attend in cybersecurity tasks
• Occasionally undertake tasks outside the normal scope of your job or this job post

Education

Possessing or pursuing a university degree in an IT-related field

Experience

• Initial working experience in web programming
• Experience with Google Products
• Initial experience in start-ups or digital agencies (bonus)

Technical Knowledge & Abilities

• Advanced programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS
• Solid knowledge of Javascript, Angular and Git/Github
• Familiarity with Typescript and Bootstrap
• A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
• Adequate knowledge of relational database systems and object oriented programming
• Bonus points: Experience with NodeJS, Tailwind and/or Firebase

Softskills & Abilities

• Proficient in English (required) and Spanish (bonus)
• Curiosity and the desire to learn
• Excellent organizational skills to meet deadlines
• Ability to work within a team environment
• Ability to offer and receive constructive feedback, and apply any suggested changes from the team supervisor efficiently and promptly

Additional Requirements

Your internet connectivity is sufficiently maintained, allowing you to hold online meetings and accomplish tasks. Your devices (e.g. laptops and/or smartphones) are sufficiently maintained, allowing you to use these gadgets to accomplish tasks and to communicate with your team.

Location

The location of SolaVieve Technologies GmbH is Kurfürsten-Anlage 52, 69115 Heidelberg, Germany. However, this position can be done remotely from any location.
