Forensic Field Officer (for Philippines Nationals Only)

The Forensic Field Officer will support the Forensic Specialist in planning and implementing Protection and forensic programs in the Philippines. S/he will represent the ICRC with stakeholders and affected communities under the supervision of the Forensic Specialist.

Main tasks

  • Responsible in supporting the Forensic Specialist in conducting context analysis on a regular basis.
  • Conduct Forensic and Protection activities under the supervision of the Forensic Specialist and adhering to the ICRC fundamental principles.
  • Responsible of providing technical knowledge to various stakeholders as well as ICRC colleagues. The responsibilities also include but not limited to provision of logistical and administrative support to the unit as well as ensuring a regular, timely and accurate reporting of activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in forensic, medical, or biological sciences or related field
  • 3 years of experience in the field of forensic or forensic-related sciences.
  • 1-2 years of experience with humanitarian agencies is an asset.
  • Commitment towards highest forensic scientific and ethical standards;
  • Good understanding of medicolegal systems is preferred
  • Capable of delivering trainings is preferred
  • Good command of written and spoken English
