Job Description Details:

Job Title: Football Coach

Location: Şanlıurfa-Adıyaman /Turkey

Work Type: Full time

Sector: Early Recovery

Department: Programs

Duration: 3 Months

Job purpose:

The football coach will be responsible for the coordination, facilitation and quality implementation of football tournaments for 9-13 years old Turkish and Syrian children under Bonyan Organization’s Live Together Project in Şanlıurfa and Adıyaman. The coach will personally be responsible for the technical implementation of training and matches, and work closely with the Project Manager, IM Manager, and M&E Manager.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Facilitate football tournament component of the project in safe spaces.
  2. Plan, organize and implement football training and match activities in accordance with street football world and football3 handbooks and guidelines.
  3. Develop criteria for beneficiary intake and register beneficiaries accordingly.
  4. Follow up attendance and all other documents of the beneficiaries and submit them to the Project Manager
  5. Prepare weekly and monthly activity reports.
  6. Plan, organize and implement life skills training integrated into football training.
  7. Work in close coordination with the Center Supervisor and the Child Protection Officer
  8. Coordinate with volunteers to act as mediators and mentors for children.
  9. Coordinate the sport events.
  10. Support and guide trainers in the preparation of training materials, detailed plans and sessions.
  11. Provide reports on the plans, results, outputs and evaluation of each training course through questionnaires provided before and after the training.
  12. Provide feedback to the project manager to improve training.
  13. Participate in any external/internal training and evaluation programs.
  14. Regularly ensure all data entry related to attendance and sessions using specific templates, and to update this data periodically.

Academic Qualifications:

Bachelor or Master’s degree in Education or related field

Requirements:

  • At least a bachelor’s degree or a diploma in subjects related to sports, department of physical education and sports and/or advance training in these subjects coupled with substantial working experience.
  • At least 2 years of training experience, preferably experience working directly with children.
  • Prior experience in working the children, youth, and refugees is an asset.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Humanitarian Principles and Protection frameworks, tools, and minimum standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suits and google tools.
  • Fluent Turkish speaker. Working knowledge of English or Arabic is a plus.
