In this role, and in collaboration with the other financial controllers on the team, you will be responsible for the entire RtR process and the quality of the accounting data. Quality is ensured, among other things, by good and relevant assessment tools as well as by continuous optimization of our control environment. You will become a key stakeholder in our monthly, quarterly and year-end closure process. Moreover, you will be managing the process of preparing material for external auditing as well as coordinating the auditing process.
Additionally, you will also become the controller of Telia’s internal control system and therefore have a good understanding of where risks can arise within the financial data end to end processes and what controls need to be implemented to address these risks. You will be proactive in informing your organization about relevant accounting and VAT/Tax matters.
The role includes, but is not limited to:
- Secure accurate balance sheet reconciliations are in place
- Perform balance sheet controlling
- Responsible for IFRS16
- Participate in month, quarter & year end closing
- Preparing external annual reports for the Danish legal entities
- Responsible for the material to the external auditors
- Coordinate the external audit process
- Secure compliance with IFRS and local GAAP in the financial statements
- Responsible for the internal control framework for financial reporting including monitoring and testing of controls and reporting to GREC and ARBC
- Identify opportunities for process improvements
- Participate in projects and initiatives from the Process Organization and other parts of the Group
- Provide timely and accurate numbers and reports for external purposes as well as internal. Secure required data sources, data structure and mechanisms to retrieve the data in the common way for all entities
- Advising on accounting regulations and providing analysis on financial impacts for various business needs as well as educate the organization on the finance and accounting and VAT regulations

We are looking for someone who has a solid understanding of the financial end to end flows. As a person you are analytical, structured and has a good ability to communicate at times complex information to others. Working towards deadlines comes naturally to you, and you can deliver on the tasks assigned to you. As Telia is on an exciting journey towards building what we call One Finance, we need to rethink the way we are set up and as a result we are looking for someone who also has a good strategic acumen. The ability to see the big picture and also to be motivated to dive into the details goes a long way. And finally, the ability to collaborate and build relationships with your key stakeholders, such as our Data & Analytics Team, Shared Service Finance, external auditors and local/group Finance will support you in your growth here at Telia.
Your Experience:
- Master’s degree in economics or similar and background as an Auditor
- 3+ years of experience from a similar role preferable in Telco
- Excellent accounting skills (book-keeping experience)
- Knowledge about IFRS
- Experience with audit and reconciliation of accounts
- SAP S4/Hana skills is a must
- Cognos skills is a must
- SAP BI & SAP BW skills is an advantage
- Excellent Excel skills is a must
- SQL skills is an advantage
- You are proficient in English both orally and in writing
