Our non-profit sports client in the Las Vegas area is looking for a comptroller to join their team for a 30 month long contract. The comptroller will work with the executive director to plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate all of the administrative functions of the committee to include reporting to the executive director, executive committee, and administrative sub-committee. Additionally, this individual will be overseeing daily operations, delegating tasks to staff, and managing personnel. Please see below for the job description.

Responsibilities:

· Implement the day-to-day finance/bookkeeping role and ensure the proper accounting platform/recordkeeping system is implemented.

· Manage and develop detailed reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual budget summaries and cash flow forecasts.

· Draft and oversee policies and procedures related to all financial procedures.

· Ensure that proper documentation of organizational and employee spending are maintained.

· Implement process to oversee spending approval, and ensure expenses are approved or within budgetary guidelines.

· Drafts and distributes statistical reports and analyses; prepares communications to the Committee.

· Negotiate contracts and agreements with financial related vendors, service providers and other contracted entities.

· Implement and manage all accounts receivables and payables operations of the Host Committee

· Implement and manage tracking mechanisms for Host Committee spending with women and minority owned local businesses.

· Prepare or oversee preparation of annual financial statements, oversee audits, IRS returns, and work annually with third part and internal auditors to ensure financial compliance.

Qualifications:

· Non-profit experience required

· Startup experience strongly preferred

· Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Financial Software(s): Sage, Intuit, etc.

· Ability to manage financial operations, including implementing controls and establishing procedures

· Thorough and current knowledge of non-profit and state labor laws and regulations
