Revenue Analyst, Korea

Location: Seoul, Korea

Reports to: Sr Finance Manager, Korea

Role summary

The Revenue Analyst has responsibility for the analysis, reporting and maximization of revenue for Korea business activity. This includes forecasting, budgeting, preparation of management accounts (including ARR, Revenue, backlog reporting) and analysis to ensure the company achieves its short and longer term objectives.

FP&A

  • Execute a robust forecasting process and prepare the Annualized Recurring Revenue (ARR), Revenue and Backlog forecast on a monthly basis.
  • Drive overall ARR and Revenue reporting structure and process (and with the support of central FP&A team) to support regular business reviews. Provide deep-drive analytics to draw insights on ARR and Revenue performance.
  • Prepare management reporting on a monthly basis with variance analysis.
  • Be a key contributor in driving annual revenue budget planning, along with the five year strategic business plan.

Commercial Management Support

  • Partner with the Sales Account Managers and Business Leaders on complex deals to optimise revenue and commercial performance.
  • Review large and complex contracts in accordance with IFRS15, and working with the Group Revenue team on areas of revenue recognition complexity

Revenue Operations

  • Review and approve all transactions processed monthly for completeness and accuracy.
  • Complete the ARR reporting process monthly.
  • Prepare a reconciliation of revenue for per IFRS and K-GAAP

Other duties

  • Any other Finance tasks as required to support the Korea business operations
  • Drive, together with APAC Finance team, key projects that align with company objectives and generates high impact positive results. Certain projects will involve country finance and will work as a virtual team.

Who we are looking for:

  • You are innately curious, highly analytical and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
  • Practical working experience in financial analysis and management accounting environments.
  • The ability to analyse, interrogate and interpret data in order to clearly articulate variances, trends, risks, and opportunities through outstanding communication skills.
  • CPA, CA qualified, or equivalent.
  • Excellent analytical and numeracy skills with a strong commercial outlook
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and build relationships across departments. (preferably in a Matrix model)
  • An open mindset to change and confidence to make recommendations to improve processes and increase revenue.
  • Fluent English (Written, spoken)
