Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with SQL and data sets.
  • Experience in financial modeling.
  • Experience with Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) systems, including SAP BPC/ Hyperion Essbase, or Anaplan architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with cross-functional marketing teams.
  • Knowledge of/established relationships within the export-driven tech industry.
  • Ability to communicate and influence effectively.
  • Ability to deliver results quickly and to work proactively and flexibly in a fast-paced, unstructured environment.

About The Job

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it’s modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges.

We are developing Google Cloud solutions for businesses, including Google Cloud Platform and Google Workspace (e.g., SaaS Apps including Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Drive).

The name Google came from “googol,” a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Cloud Marketing leaders and Strategy and Operations leads to manage annual and bi-annual budget planning.
  • Build financial forecasting models for operating expenses incorporating business drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop business review materials and financial reports to surface financial insights and guide resource allocation decisions.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new systems and tools.
  • Create driver-based long-range plan models to assess the profit and loss impact of marketing investments.
