Charney Investment Group

Are you ready to invest in your future? We are a wealth management firm in search of a Financial Advisor to join our growing team. At Charney Investment Group (CIG), we prioritize client relationships, and are seeking someone who will cultivate and sustain interpersonal connections with our clients. Our investing strategies are tactical and proactive; we are looking for a self-starter who takes ownership of the position and can contribute to strategy coordination and deployment. You should be eager to learn new approaches to investing as well as to business development. We are currently expanding, and you should aspire to grow in tandem with us. We are looking for someone who can act as a catalyst to our growth and bring strategic investment knowledge alongside savvy business acumen. CIG is firmly committed to ethical practices and to providing clients with personally tailored investment plans. You should be willing and able to represent and promote our brand, attracting suitable clients and nurturing already-established relationships. If this seems like a good fit, please read on to learn more.

What you’ll do:

Business Development:

  • Collaborate with the President to develop growth strategies and initiatives;
  • Be proactive in developing networks in the professional community that can create opportunities for new relationships;
  • Grow existing client relationships through sound advisement, ethical practices, and strong returns;
  • Collaborate with our team to establish best practices;
  • Contribute to branding efforts by participating in promotional and marketing activities.

Relationship Management

  • Establish primary relationships with designated existing clients;
  • Continue any existing client relationships you may have already established;
  • Manage client relations so that clients seek your counsel and will work directly with you;
  • Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with clients independently;
  • Participate in, and contribute to, complex tactical analysis and decision-making;
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients needing additional resources or changes in service.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher);
  • Series 7 & Series 66 (or Series 65 & 63);
  • Life Insurance License or willingness to obtain within 1 year.

About the position:

  • Reports to the President of CIG;
  • Full-time with flexible hours and some remote work—you will be expected to participate in client events outside of normal working hours;
  • You will travel regularly in the Harrisburg area, and with less frequency around the country, to meet with clients and participate in networking efforts.

Your compensation will be your draw plus commissions.
