Senior Financial Accountant

Location: Central London / Hybrid

Salary: £55 – 65,000 + package and bonus

This is a fantastic and exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Accountant to join a market leading and dynamic technology and data business. You would be part of a high profile, hard-working and exciting finance team. They are recruiting a newly created role into the finance controllership team. The successful candidate will have the ability to confidently navigate IFRS accounting standards and be able to ensure appropriate accounting and stewardship of the numbers.

This role will report into the UK Financial Controller and work closely with the Head of UK finance and CFO. The role will be responsible for ensuring month end close for the UK is completed accurately and to a high standard, preparing monthly analysis of the balance sheet and reviewing reconciliations on a monthly basis. Due to the nature of this role, you will be involved in various ad-hoc strategic business projects.

Specifically, you will ensure that the month end close for the UK is completed accurately, to a high standard and on time. You will prepare a monthly analysis of the balance sheet and income statement. Along with the FC you will be the key point of contact for the internal and external audit. Due to the nature of this role, you will support ongoing and new projects (e.g. migration of FinOps to a new Shared Service Centre). You will also own accurate and timely analysis of actuals and forecasting for recharge purposes and Capex Reporting. Naturally, you will strive to implement and improve processes in line with group accounting policy and create a strong financial control environment. You will act as a mentor for more junior members of the team and have potential to move into a leadership role in the near future.

The successful candidate will be a Qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting knowledge and the ability to work in a fast paved start up environment. You will be proactive and positive with strong attention to detail.
