JOB TITLE Finance Officer – Planning Budgeting and Reporting

REPORTING TO Finance Manager – Planning, Budgeting & Reporting

Grade: 5

REPORTING TO POSITION None

LOCATION Jordan- Amman

CHILD SAFEGUARDING

Level 3: the role holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work in country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.

ROLE

This role will support the Planning, Budgeting and Reporting team in providing financial inputs into all aspects of Planning, Budgeting and Reporting for the Syria Response Office. This includes providing support for Proposal Budgeting, annual Budgeting, Donor and internal Finance Reporting and other financial management tasks such as Monthly BvAs

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and distribute monthly system generated BvAs to NES, NWS,GoS and MO
  • Create new DEAs in Agresso as requested from the Awards team.
  • Assist in preparing the monthly staff allocation.
  • Make sure to have all the budget phasing uploaded on AGRESSO financial system.
  • Support in Preparing the financial reports in line with donor regulations and ensuring that deadlines are met as per reporting calendar in Funds summary.
  • Support in the preparation of the budget realignments along with program staff for on-going awards if needed.
  • Providing support in preparation of Master budget, 1st forecast and 2nd forecast processes.
  • Provide support in preparing proposal budgets in line with donor guidelines.
  • Provide support preparing the CAM calculator for all new budgets and ensure that the template is updated with all relevant funding.
  • Provide support to the Area offices team into all aspects of Planning, Budgeting and Reporting to as required .
  • Provide other ad-hoc financial data or analysis as requested by Manager, FD or Field Teams.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in Accounting/Finance or relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of financial management experience in non-profit sector.
  • Budgeting, financial reporting, and financial analysis work experience are preferable.
  • Thorough knowledge of major donor rules and regulations and implications on budgeting and budget monitoring.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft excel and experience with financial systems integration
  • Ability to prioritize projects and initiate and follow through, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication, multi-tasking, organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent oral and written English skills required
  • Ability to work effectively with an ethnically diverse team.
