POINT was established as NGO by a group of Diaspora humanitarian experts. As an NGO, the co-founders of POINT realized the crucial gaps between providing aid and the need for building the resilience of communities.

We believe at POINT that the best solutions to support the people in crisis should be by a quick transformation from rapid response to resilience method, as this approach within humanitarian operations is crucial to the first efforts of a community to recover, rise again, and start to use their capacity, starting from education and livelihood at the first stages, ending by early recovery and rehabilitation at later stages.

POINT works in many countries closely with civilians like IDPs, Refugees, Returnees, and host communities, In addition to the local initiatives, local NGOs, and INGOs. Position Purpose:

Field Finance Officer is responsible for implementing various financial policies and representing financial management to support the organization’s operations .

Duty station: Syria

Reporting to: Finance Manager.

Main Tasks:

  • Represent the finance department during all bid analysis.
  • Financial auditing of all purchase requests and processes .
  • Verify compliance with the organization’s policies and grant conditions for all projects’ documentation.
  • Follow-up matching processes with suppliers.
  • Follow-up of providers and beneficiaries to sign receipt vouchers.
  • Responsible for completing the required signatures on the financial Documents.
  • Responsible for petty cash
  • Coordinate with financial department when needed.
  • Adhere to the instructions of the line manager.
  • Adhere to the rules of the Code of Conduct.

Skills & Experience

  • At least two years of experience in humanitarian work in finance Department.
  • Highly organized and with the ability to characterize and solve problems.
  • Good knowledge of both Arabic and English, reading and writing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with using Office programs.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good knowledge of documentation work in finance.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance management, Business Administration or any related field.
