Our operations include long-term development cooperation, humanitarian assistance and advocacy. FCA has been working in Jordan since 2012 with focus on mitigating the impact of the regional refugee crisis especially among youth and young adults.

Over the years, the priorities of the country program have gradually shifted from Education in Emergencies to long-term resilience and reduced aid dependency of both refugees and vulnerable host communities. These goals are promoted especially through various livelihood interventions.

To support our operations in the country, we are seeking a professional, talented, targets oriented, Finance Manager.

Finance Manager will oversee the program’s financial operations and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all donors’ rules and regulations as well the organization Financial standing orders and standard policies and procedures, monitoring program expenditures, and producing financial reports.

Main tasks

Financial Management

  • Oversee financial aspects of the program and ensure compliance with relevant donor requirements and the organization internal regulations.
  • Produce timely, quality, and accurate financial reports and practices, including monthly financial reports and Budgets follow up reports.
  • Lead preparation of financial forecasts for the overall operation, program.
  • Coordinate the preparation country budgets in accordance with the organization and donor requirements.
  • Supervise program budgets follow up, identify relevant / expected implementation discrepancies.
  • Lead the internal and external audit process and preparations. Oversee relations with external audit firms.
  • Supervise various financial support staff.
  • Ensure effective internal controls and compliance with the organization policies and regulatory legislation
  • Ensure that the financial reports and relevant financial supporting documents are prepared and submitted, in accordance with the organization and with donor requirements,
  • Ensure the allocation of expenses to relevant program and donor reporting.
  • Ensure proper preparation of Financial Statements, cash books, list of expenses, bank accounts reconciliations, etc. in accordance with requirements
  • Assist with new business development, including budget preparation and forecasting.
  • Maintain overall budget control and monitoring of cash flows and forecasts, oversee budgeting and monitoring of direct and shared costs, spending plans, provide cost, analysis and make recommendations for determining effective resource utilization ensuring no deficit.

Remote work

  • Liaise with partner organizations to ensure completeness, correctness and accuracy of financial reports according to the organization policies and donors’ regulations.
  • Review and prepare partner cash requests from HQ, ensure a tracking system and matching of advance payments and expenses reported.

Competence, experience, skills, knowledge needed

  • Bachelor degree in finance or business management, other related fields.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience in finance and administration management as a finance manager, 3+ years proven experience in INGO as senior Finance officer / Non-profit sector.
  • Excellent computer skills, especially good management of Office Package.
  • Strong organizational and management skills, strong self-initiative and self-managing skills
  • Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills
  • Experience in working with multiple donors, knowledge of EU, UN, US government funding is an asset.
