  • Direct supervisor/ Reports to Direct Supervise by Operation Director and reporting to Finance Director

Job purpose

  • To manage the financial department in Gaziantep
  • To perform his role as finance manager efficiently to achieve the organization’s goals by ensuring that the processes of financial planning, implementation as well as internal control, are done with efficiency and effectiveness.
  • To cooperate with and report to the finance director in respect of contributing in UOSSM planning and reporting to assist in achieving UOSSM objectives
  • to cooperate with the finance director in the internal audit
  • to cooperate with external auditors and government bodies for any financial requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • finance Department management of Gaziantep mission.
  • Financial planning and monitoring of the organizational financial implementation to ensure that it is according to plans.
  • Financial reporting and ensuring that the financial reporting of the organization is accountable and transparent.
  • Budget financial planning and budget performance monitoring and reporting.
  • the project financial management and reporting.
  • quality financial planning, reporting regarding donors’ reports, donor auditing and capacity assessment, and all related financial tasks in relation to Donors to serve organizational goals.
  • To cooperate with the finance director in the development of the finance system, finance policies, procedures, and finance-related processes.
  • To work with the finance director to develop the internal control system and reporting for the organization
  • And improve internal control to make sure that staff are fully aware and comply with the Policies.
  • to cooperate with the finance director to develop the finance department’s well-defined strategic and operational goals and KPIs and performance evaluation process.
  • prepare periodical and annual reporting of financial and enhance reporting to accurate timely financial reports to be submitted in accordance with UOSSM and donor-specific guidelines.
  • review financial management implementation reports raised by finance staff in the Gaziantep finance department.
  • ensure compliance with the donor’s policies and procedures.
  • manage financial reporting of banks and cash.
  • management of admin and projects budgeting and reporting.
  • To prepare donor reporting requested by donors to be sent on time and share them with related parties
  • to cooperate in the audit process and reporting and ensure follow-up of critical audit findings.
  • perform financial internal controls, to ensure that transactions are processed, and assets managed in compliance with UOSSM and donors’ rules & regulations.
  • Reviewing financial aspect of agreements like grant agreements, Memorandum of Understanding MoU, etc., and raising an updated report of it to the financial director
  • Support auditing and reporting of the organization
  • Support the financial director in regard to internal audits to make sure compliance with regulations and policies implementation
    • To support the grant department in preparing the grant management plan from a financial perspective and to report grant management finances periodically to the finance director
  • To Support and coordinate with human resources in planning for the annual budget for the annual human resource plan from financial perspectives and reporting
  • Attending financial-related meetings.
  • To support and develop the finance team
  • Represent the organization to external entities when requested.
  • Any other Duties /Reasonability’s requested by the operation and finance directors

Qualifications and Experiences

  • BSc/BA or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting Business administration
  • Technical and professional courses and certificate is considered as an advantage
  • Experience: 7 years of professional experience in finance management.
  • Experience in finance, budgeting, and banking for NGOs
  • Previous experience in international non-profit organizations and working with NGOs/ INGOs rules and regulation
  • experience in working with stakeholders in humanitarian projects in Syria.
  • IT skills.
  • The ability to prepare operational periodical and annual reports.
  • The ability to plan financial and operational for Nonprofit organization
  • The ability to make internal control reporting for Nonprofit organization
  • The ability to efficiently use of financial systems like
  • The ability to use Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, and others
  • Fluency in Arabic, English both written and verbal
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the team.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Good organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
  • Capable of working collaboratively with team members to achieve objectives.
  • Turkish Nationality :Required
