About the role
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB
People
- The direct reports are the AP and AR Controllers, and Banking Control
- Working with the wider finance and non-finance community to deliver audit requirements
- Working with varied financial and non-financial stakeholders around the world, excellent communication skills are a must
Month end
- Holding AP, AR, Banking and other key areas of finance to tight reporting deadlines. Driving discipline and making critical resourcing decisions.
- Reviewing and approving month end reconciliations and reports of, cash, bank debt, debtors ledger and purchase ledger.
- Working with Banking control to ensure robust cash flow forecasting processes are in place, managing payment runs and request bank credit drawdowns to ensure adequate cash headroom is in place to allow payment of creditors within terms
- Overseeing the implementation of IT solutions to drive efficiency and reduce staff time wasted
- Reporting to the Group Finance Director (GFD) on KPI adherence levels in AP, AR and Banking
- Driving forward a robust balance sheet review process
- Providing ad hoc analysis where required
Taxation
- Support the quarterly VAT return process
Systems
- Provide detail reporting and journals from the Sun Accounting System
- Oversee the team encouraging positive adoption of upgraded systems, championing the benefits of the upgrades, and keeping teams motivated throughout the change process
General
- Be aware of and adhere to company quality standards and procedures in accordance with Crown Agent’s commitment to working to the highest quality standards and striving for continual improvement
- Be aware of and compliant with all the standards following Safeguarding procedures and policies. Promote Crown Agents’ speak up culture in order to protect the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.

- Financial qualification or relevant working experience
Experience
- Extensive experience as a financial professional, with particular experience and skill in managing change and capable of getting results within a complex organisation which includes matrix and international dimensions
- Strong Excel and Word skills
- Working with varied financial and non-financial stakeholders around the world
- Excellent communication skills
- Sun experience helpful but not essential

About what’s on offer
£60,000 to £70,000 gross basic salary per year
