A small and well-established NGO focused on poverty reduction programmes in sub-Saharan Africa and south Asia is seeking a Finance & Business Manager for a part-time, permanent role.
The role will home-based/remote with a requirement to travel to the office in Evesham / Worcester at least once per month.
The role is a sole charge finance role, reporting to the CEO. The role involves a mixture of internal finances for the charity, institutional donor reporting to funders and some basic oversight of the programme finances by liaising with partners overseas.
The role is for 3 days per week (21 hours).
The organisation has a turnover of between £500k-£1million.
The role would be best suited to someone with experience in a similarly broad role in a small NGO or UK charity. Understanding of international programmes finance, FX transactions and institutional donor funding would be a big advantage.
Requirements:
-Experience managing a finance function in a small / medium organisation
-Part or fully-qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA preferable but not essential
-Experience with charity finance, or international NGO donor reporting / programme finance is strongly desirable
-Strong experience with management accounting and budgeting
-Strong experience with financial controls
-Quickbooks experience useful but not essential
