Here’s where you come in:

As the Finance Director for the World Vision Syria Response, you will provide overall leadership, oversight and management support for all aspects of financial management in the response. This position is part of the Senior Leadership Team of the National Office constituting the cluster, with a focus on ensuring accountability, compliance and stewardship, coordinating financial planning and developing financial strategy that best serves the National Office’s strategic and program objectives. You will be responsible for the finance staff and partner capacity strengthening, development and implementation of good internal controls, compliance at all levels, and utilization and safe guarding of assets according to World Vision approved policies and procedures.

You will provide overall leadership to the finance team based in three countries (Syria, Jordan and Turkey) and provide adequate management information to members of the Senior Leadership Team and project/program managers

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in senior finance position with medium business/medium NGO/government agency
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in finance management position
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial systems, budget/cash flow monitoring and internal accounting controls.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English, proficiency in Arabic is a plus
  • Ability to travel regionally and internationally
